Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC), often referred to as “One of the Largest Small Businesses in Southern Maryland,” has recruited Lori Benson to manage the recently won $54M Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) contract and expand RMC’s business with NIWC. The primary work location for this NIWC contract is Charleston, SC.

“Lori’s demonstrated business acumen and program management skills will ensure the success of our new RDT&E contract” said Kevin Cooley, CEO of RMC. “Her deep relationships within the Charleston community and understanding of NIWC operations will help us grow our NIWC presence. I am thrilled to have her on board.”

Ms. Benson is a board member of the Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA) and is co-chair of the upcoming CDCA Defense Summit. Prior to RMC, she was Senior Program Manager and Charleston Market BD Lead for ITC Defense Corporation and a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Asked about becoming part of the RMC team, Ms. Benson commented “I feel very fortunate for this opportunity to join the RMC team. Their strong history of successful partnership with the Navy in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, and IT Program Management makes RMC a perfect fit to support the NIWC mission and vision. RMC’s recent RDT&E contract win marks an exciting opportunity for continued growth here in Charleston.”

Ms. Benson has a high profile in the Charleston Navy market through her work at ITC Defense and her work within the CDCA.

Another recent award for RMC includes a $12M five-year contract in support of the Naval Surface Weapons Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), providing Infrastructure Engineering Support Services for the NSWCDD Strike Weapons Systems Division (H50).
